The wrong size plus size bras can also be a sore to the eye. With all the discomforts and hassle caused by the wrong measurement on a brassiere, get your measure tapes ready and figure out those sizes.
There are two measurements you should get to determine accurately your size. These are the band size (or the chest size) and the cup size (or the breast size). In a 34B measurement, the band size is the “34” while “B” is the cup size.
To measure the band size, place a tape measure and wrap it around your chest, under your breast. Be sure it’s not too tight or too lose. Add another 5 inches to the number you will get. That would be your band size. If your chest size is an odd number, it is advisable to round it up to the next number for a better fit. You can always adjust the tightness of your plus size bras if it is a little loose, anyway.
Now, to get the cup size, run the tape measure from you breast, under your armpits, and across the biggest or fullest part of your breast. If the difference between your cup size and breast size is 1 inch, your cup size is A. For every inch that the difference increases, your cup size also changes to B, C and so forth.
Some girls might still feel a little discomfort even if they have the right sizes. Probably, it’s just because their breasts are still growing or it’s uneven. The best thing to do is to maximize the use of straps and hooks and try to figure out whichever adjustment fits them the best.
There are also ways to get the best fitting. One is to use pads to either breast if you have uneven ones to make them look balanced. Also, there are brassieres these days that have detachable straps that can be modified. Arrange the straps to the best look the gives you the most comfort and soon you’ll be free to move whichever way you want.
In our desire to look sexy and attractive, sometimes we choose the wrong underwear. We have to take in mind that, among anything else, the main purpose of plus size bras is to support the bust. Sometimes, we need to compromise style for comfort, but later on, we’ll realize that comfort is the better choice.
